Season: December to March. Includes a half day cave exploration
, and half day river rafting in upper Atuel river. FB.
Day 1: Arrival in San Rafael airport (240
km. South of Mendoza). Transfer to Los Molles mountain valley, lunch
in Hotel Hualum. Departure to Las Loicas valley, to the base camp
for the horse-riding expedition. FB.
Day 2 to 6: Horse riding across changing landscapes of rivers,
lakes, deserts, volcanoes, lonely valleys and mountain summits to
the Chilean border and surrounding Cerro Campanario. Return to Las
Loicas. Every day riding will take place in a different area, and
there will be always a new campsite for every evening.
Day 7: Exploration of fascinating Las Brujas cave, discovering
stalactites, stalagmites and other formations, with espeleologist
guide. By car to Los Molles valley. Hotel Hualum overnight.
Day 8: River rafting grade 3 in the upper Atuel river canyon,
lots of fun and exciting white water. Lunch and transfer to San
Rafael.
Cerro Negro 4 hours rafting, 37 Km. Grading:
III-IV
Season: All year round.
Day 1: Departure in the early morning from Mendoza. Fun in the best
known rapids in the Mendoza river: La Quebrada del 60, El Laberinto
y El Come Hombres. Lunch included. Transfers to Mendoza.
Cacheuta Canyon 3 hours rafting, 27 Km.
Grading: IV-V
Season: November to March.
Day 1: Departure in the early morning from Mendoza. For rafting
lovers looking for new challenges, this is a rapid-filled section
of the Mendoza river flowing through a deep rock canyon, sometimes
a heartstopping whitewater experience. Recommended for people with
previous rafting experience. Transfers to and from Mendoza.
Season: December to March. Grading: moderate. FB.
Day 1: Departure from Mendoza in a private
bus across the Andean foothills, passing the valley of Uspallata
to enter the high mountain region in Puente del Inca (2730 m). Overnight
at the Puente del Inca Inn. Dinner.
Day 2: Trek start going into Los Horcones valley, up to the
Confluencia fixed camp. 5 to 6 hours.
Day 3: From the camp trek to the valley of Horcones Inferior
reaching the glacier near Plaza Francia, with view of south face
of Aconcagua at 4.100 m. Back to camp. 6 to 8 hours.
Day 4: Back to Puente del Inca Inn lodge. 4 to 5 hours -
Distance: 18 Kms. Return to Mendoza. Transfer to the hotel (hotel
not included).

3 days/2 nights, and/or Rafting rio Mendoza, 1 or 2 days).
