Airport transfer. The Iguazu National Park was declarared world
Heritage by UNESCO in 1984. Some 80 metres high and 2,700 metres
in diameter, on a basalt line spanning the border between Argentina
and Brazil, the waterfall is one of the most spectacular in the
world. Made up of many cascades producing vast sprays of water and
surrounded by sub-tropical rainforest with over 2,000 species of
vascular plants, it is home to typical wildlife of the region: tapirs,
giant anteaters, howler monkeys, ocelots, jaguars, caiman

Half day private tour along Sendero Macuco. Drive 4WD along paths
of exuberant vegetation with some specimens of local flora dated
at over 300 years old; visit allows one to enjoy at close hand
the colours of the many orchids and some of the 1100 butterfly
varieties and multicoloured birds. Exciting navigation up the
Iguazu gorge, surrounded by the roaring falls.
San Ignacio Jesuit ruins
Full day private tour. From Iguazu by car to Wanda. Visit the
open air gems mine (quartz, amethyst, etc.). During the journey,
local plantations can be seen such as tea and yerba mate. Visit
to the very interesting San Ignacio Mini Jesuit mission ruins.
Return to Iguazu. The Jesuit Mission ruins were declarared world
Heritage by UNESCO in 1983/84. In the heart of a tropical forest,
the ruins of San Ignacio Mini, Santa Ana, Nuestra Señora
de Loreto and Santa María la Mayor in Argentina are the
striking remains of four Jesuit missions, built in the land of
the Guaranis during the 17th and 18th centuries, each one characterized
by a specific layout and a different state of conservation.
Orchid gardens in Montecarlo
Full day private tour. For orchids and flower lovers. From Iguazu
by car to Montecarlo. About 500 different sorts of semitropical
orchids are cultivated in greenhouses, a real show of colours
and forms. In October every year there is an Orchid Festival in
the village. Can be easily combined with San Ignacio Mini tour.
