Peninsula Valdes Declared world Heritage by UNESCO, 1999 Peninsula
Valdés in Patagonia contains very important and significant
natural habitats for the in-situ conservation of several threatened
species of outstanding universal value as marine mammals. It shelters
an important breeding population of the endangered southern right
whale as well as important breeding populations of southern elephant
seals and southern sea lions. The orcas in this area have developed
a unique hunting strategy to adapt to local coastal conditions

Day 1: Arrival at Trelew airport. Transfer
to the hotel in Puerto Madryn.
Day 2: Full day ( Regular Service – SIB ) excursion
to the Punta Tombo penguin rookery to observe thousands of penguins
and their nests.
Day 3: Full day ( Regular Service - SIB ) excursion to the
Valdes Peninsula where the special points of interest are the Southern
Right Whales, the sea elephants and the sea-lion colonies. Optional
whale-watching boat from June to December.
Day 4: Departure transfer.

Day 2: Free for Trek to Laguna de los Tres, facing the spectacular
Fitz Roy steep walls and glaciers.
Day 3: Free for Trek to Laguna Torre, impressive view of
one of steepest and most difficult mountains in the world. Return
to Chalten, SIB bus to Calafate, transfer to hotel. The Glaciers
National Park was declared world heritage by UNESCO in 1981. It
is an area of exceptional natural beauty, with rugged, towering
mountains and numerous glacial lakes, including Lake Argentino,
a hundred miles long.

Day 1: Departure with regular bus from Cafalate
to the Chilean border. Arrival to the fishing town of Puerto Natales.
Transfer to hotel.
Day 2: F/D excursion to the National Park Torres del Paine;
visit one of the most spectacular sights in the world. Declared
in 1978 world Heritage by UNESCO recognizing it as a biosphere.
Some say the name comes from an ancient Indian word meaning blue
— hearkening to the intense blue of the area’s lakes.
Known for its varied landscapes, flora & fauna, breathtaking
granite towers, dense subantartic forest, glaciers and deep turquoise
lakes. (optional overnight in hostel in the Park). Return to Puerto
Natales. Hotel.
Day 3: Transfer to bus terminal to get bus to Calafate
Full day visit to Moreno glacier
80 Kms from El Calafate. This excursion starts at 08.30, the vehicle
rides through the Patagonian plateau, and near the coast of Lake
Argentino arriving to Buenos Aires hill. Next, entering the National
Park, it rides through the Peninsula de Magallanes, where nothofagus
woods are seen. We arrive at the boardwalks, from where the Brazo
Rico and the Canal of the Temples can be seen. Most day tours drop
you at these "pasarellas" and allow you three to four
hours to explore at your own pace.
Upsala Glacier Explorer
Full day visit to Upsala Glacier with boat, 4WD trucks and traditional
roast lamb barbecue at isolated and historical Estancia La Cristina.
The Upsala Glacier is a compound valley glacier fed by several glaciers.
These total in the basin a surface of about 1.000 km2/390 sq. m
It was named after the Swedish city of Upsala whose university sponsored
the first glaciological study at the beginning of this century.
This glacier has receded significantly mainly during the last decade.
Nevertheless, it is the largest glacier in our National Park and
the longest in South America.
Day 1: Transfer (SIB) from Rio Gallegos
to Calafate. Private transfer to Hotel.

(Optional: Minitrek on the Moreno glacier, crampons provided). On

(9 hr.) or Rio Pingo (7 hr.).
Day 3: Return to Calafate. Hotel.

to the Tierra del Fuego National Park. Half day ( Regular Service

Lions and Bird islands. Boat has own bilingual guide
Day 3: At leisure until transfer to the airport.

most southern city. Private transfer to hotel. Half day private
excursion to the Tierra del Fuego National Park and the impressive
Lapataia bay.
Day 2: Half day cruise to the Sea Lions and Birds islands
through Ushuaia bay and Beagle Channel. Private transfer to the
