you to alternate between the hot thermal waters and the cold water
of the river Liucura. These hot springs are renowned for the quality
of their waters. Leisure time to enjoy this location. Return to

DAY 01 TEMUCO / PUCÓN

which in Summer is visited both for chileans and foreign tourists.
Arrive to Villarrica Park Lake where we will be received with a

DAY 02 PUCON / VOLCAN VILLARRICA
/ PUCON
Breakfast at the hotel.
During the morning, we will visit the Volcanic caves, located
in Villarrica volcano. This is a natural and unique experience
(there are only 2 caves in the whole wide world open to visitors).
Naturally formed after various volcanic activity thousand of years
ago, they invite us to go trough this adventure inside earth.
An expert will guide us to this journey 1000 feet inside the volcano.
Afterwards we will visit a handcraft workshop, where we will be
able to see the skills of the craftmen, specialized in wood articles.
Later on the lunch will take place at the Villarrrica park Lake
hotel. Free afternoon to enjoy hotel facilities, Aquarius Spa
is the place that you can’t miss during your stay at the
hotel, giving you the opportunity to use the Indoor swimming pool
with jacuzzi, finish sauna, steam baths, exquisit showers, roman

Thermal Centre (Place of Bathes in mapudungun language), place
located 30 kms. From Pucon. We will be able to enjoy their 4 swimming
pools. Free time at the Thermal center.
Return to the hotel at lunch time.

Trancura river. Located a mere 10 minutes drive from the Hotel in
the starting point. Fully briefed and fully equiped we will set
off downriver where for 1 hour we will be amazed by scenery and
the excitement of the rapids. Return to the Hotel. Overnight and
dinner at the Hotel del Lago.

In the afternoon we will take a city tour of Puerto Montt, starting
with a visit to the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral. Then we go
to the top of one of the city’s 4 hills (Melipulli), from
where we will appreciate a panoramic view of Puerto Montt, its port,
Tenglo Island, the small bay of Reloncaví and the beginning
of the Andes Mountains Patagonian stretch. Then we will visit the
beach-resorts of Pelluco and Chinquihue, and on the way we will
see the fish factories, Naval and Marine shipyards followed by the
handicraft market of Angelmó. We will then go to the hotel
in Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas. Overnight.
DAY 02 PUERTO MONTT or PUERTO VARAS

Breakfast at the Hotel. At the agreed time, departure for the “Excursion
to Peulla”. We will drive along the edge of Lake Llanquihue,
near the Calbuco volcano, and then enter the Vicente Pérez
Rosales National Park, from where we will be able to see the majesty
of the Osorno volcano, the waterfalls of Petrohué river and
Lake Todos los Santos. We will sail the beautiful emerald-coloured
waters of this lake where you will be able to appreciate the shore
bordered by native forests, mountains, volcanoes, hills and waterfalls.
Arrival to Peulla, a little mountain village situated on the eastern
shore of Lake Todos los Santos. Dinner and lodging in Hotel Peulla.

Breakfast at the hotel. We will depart to cross the Vicente Pérez
Rosales border point and then by bus up to Lake Frías from
where we will sail to Puerto Blest. After a short bus ride, we will
continue sailing, crossing Lake Nahuel Huapi until we reach Puerto
Pañuelo. We will then continue on to Bariloche by bus, leaving
the passengers at the hotel in Bariloche. Overnight.
DAY 05 SAN CARLOS DE BARILOCHE
Breakfast at the Hotel. We will take a half day tour visiting the
city, including Playa Bonita, from where we can see Huemul Island.
Later on, we will get to the foot of Campanario Hill. You may take
the chair lift to the top the hill (optional). We then continue
onto the peninsula of Llao-Llao and here we will see Puerto Pañuelo.
We will cross the bridge to La Angostura which links Lakes Moreno,
Nahuel and López Bay. We will arrive to Punto Panorámico,
a natural balcony with views over Lake Moreno and the Llao-Llao
peninsula. PM at leisure. Overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. We will depart taking the Lakes Crossing
service to Petrohué. This part consists of sailing the beautiful
emerald-coloured waters of Lake Todos Los Santos where you will
be able to appreciate the shore bordered by native forests, mountains,
volcanoes, hills as well as the majesty of the Puntiagudo, Tronador
and Osorno Volcanoes. We then continue by bus bordering Lake Llanquihue
until we get to Puerto Varas and then to Puerto Montt. Overnight
at the hotel.

DAY 01 Friday PUERTO MONTT / ANCUD
Departure in the morning from Puerto Montt to visit the Pacific
port of Ancud on Chiloé Island. Once we have crossed the
Chacao Channel and set foot on the island our first port of call
will be the village of Chacao. We will then continue on to Ancud.
On arrival we will visit the Museum where we will find out about
the island’s history. After lunch (not included) we will
visit the fort of San Antonio, where the withdrawl of the Spaniards
from American soil was signed, and Arena Gruesa Beach. We’ll
then take the road to Fort Ahui on the extreme west of Ancud Bay
near the Corona lighthouse. Here you will have a spectacular panoramic
view of the area and from where you will be able to glean an insight
into the Spanish strategy in colonial times as they protected
the town by building fortifications on either side of the bay.
Return by Mar Brava along a track that runs along beaches on the
Pacific coast. On our return to Ancud we will go up Huaihuén
hill from where we will have a view of the Pacific Ocean, Ancud,
and the Pudeto and Continente rivers. Arrival to the Hotel in
Ancud. Overnight at the hotel in Ancud.
DAY 02 Saturday ANCUD

DAY 03 Sunday ANCUD / CASTRO
/ PUERTO MONTT
Breakfast at the Hotel. We will depart in the morning for Castro
by S.I.B. service. On route we will see the range of hills on the
island known as the “Cordillera de San Pedro” and we
will also be able to see the chain of volcanoes of the Andes mountain
range on the mainland. We will visit the town of Dalcahue with its
famous handicraft fair where you will be able to purchase woven
or knitted articles and local basket work. Free time to visit the
local church which is a national Monument. We will continue our
trip to Castro, the capital of Chiloé. We will visit the
town famous for its houses built on stilts over the water and the
Church of San Francisco. Return to Puerto Montt in the late afternoon
leaving the passengers at the Airport or the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning we depart on a full day excursion
visiting the most famous churches of Chiloé. These national
monuments have just been declared as World Heritage sites by UNESCO
and are unique in their wooden construction.Besides, these churches
are located in typical small “Chilote” villages, where
tradional rural life is the norm.
We begin by visiting The Church of Dalcahue 60 Km South of Ancud.
We then go to the church of Achao in Isla de Qinchao, the Church
of Quinchao in Isla Quinchao, the Church of Castro 80 Km from Ancud,
the Church of Nercón 85 Km South of Ancud, the Church of
Chonchi 103 Km South of Ancud, and the Church of Villipulli 100
Km south of Ancud. Lunch on route ( not included) We then return
to the hotel in Ancud. Overnight at the hotel in Ancud.

Los Alerces de Lenca is private property located 36 Km (22 miles)
from Puerto Montt, capital of the 10th Region. It nestles into the
foothills of the Andes and is surrounded by a magnificent evergreen
wood. The property covers 2000 hectares and the hotel is located
at the bottom of a mountain canyon formed in the last glacial era.
DAY 01 PUERTO MONTT / LOS ALERCES
DE LENCA PARK
You will be met at Puerto Montt airport at 09.00 where we will
board a Unimog (a vehicle specially adapted for rough terrain)
or a 4 wheel drive vehicle which will take us to the 36Km (22
miles) point of the Austral Road from where we will begin our
ascent to the lodge along a mountain track built of ancient larch
planks and which winds its way for 12 Km (7½ miles) through
an imposing Anedan-Patagonian forest into the foothills. 7 Km
(4 miles) along this route we will stop at a huge Larch (estimated
to be 4000 years old) and known by the locals as “El Tata”
(Grandad) and thought to be the oldest one in the area. After
a short walk we will get to the Laguna Reflejos (Reflections lagoon),
a spectacular mountain lake surrounded by woods and mountainous
terrain, where we will board a raft to reach the hotel. We will
settle in and then be given a talk on the possible excursions
by a specialised guide. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in the
park.
DAY 02 LOS ALERCES DE LENCA PARK
Breakfast in the lodge. In the morning we will climb “EL
Gran Nevado”. This is a hard trek which lasts approximately
6 hours. We will climb from 800m to 1500m (2600 to 4900 feet)
along a natural trail through larch trees and other local flora.
Local birds including Woodpeckers and humming birds will add to
the fascination of our trek. Once at the top we will have a wonderful
view of the Reloncaví Sound and of the Osorno, Calbuco,
Yates, Puntiagudo, Tronador and Corcovado Volcanoes and Lake Llanquihue.
Snack on the summit . Lunch back at the lodge. After a rest we
will leave on horse back to an area known as El Rodado. During
this 3 hour ride we will pass through the evergreen woods, see
how the local wooden tiles are made and also get a spectacular
view of the Reloncaví Sound. Dinner and overnight at the
lodge in the park.
DAY 03 LOS ALERCES DE LENCA PARK/
PUERTO MONTT
Breakfast in the lodge. This morning we will take a soft trek to
Los Alerzales (aproximately 3 hours). We will visit a larch wood
known as “Oro Verde Menor” (Green Gold Minor) with native
species aged between 500 and 1000 years old. We will then go to
the Condor viewing point and will be able to appreciate the enormity
of the Andean forest and the dense undergrowth of ferns and other
local plant species. We will then visit the “Oro Verde Mayor”
wood (Green Gold Major) with larches dating back 1500 to 3000 years.
Lunch at the lodge. At the agreed time transfer to Puerto Montt.

DAY 01 PUERTO MONTT / LOS ALERCES
DE LENCA PARK
You will be met at Puerto Montt airport at 09.00 where we will
board a Unimog ( a vehicle with tracks rather than wheels) or
a 4 wheel drive vehicle which will take us to the 36Km (22 miles)
point of the Austral Road from where we will begin our ascent
to the lodge along a mountain track built of ancient larch planks
and which winds its way for 12 Km (7½ miles) through an
imposing Anedan-Patagonian forest into the foothills. 7 Km (4
miles) along this route we will stop at a huge Larch (estimated
to be 4000 years old) and known by the locals as “El Tata”
(Grandad) and thought to be the oldest one in the area. After
a short walk we will get to the Laguna Reflejos (Reflections lagoon),
a spectacular mountain lake surrounded by woods and mountainous
terrain, where we will board a raft to reach the hotel. We will
settle in and then be given a talk on the possible excursions
by a specialised guide. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in the
park.
DAY 02 LOS ALERCES DE LENCA PARK
Breakfast in the lodge. This morning we will take a soft trek
to Los Alerzales (aproximately 3 hours). We will visit a larch
wood known as “Oro Verde Menor” (Green Gold Minor)
with native species aged between 500 and 1000 years old. We will
then go to the Condor viewing point and will be able to appreciate
the enormity of the Andean forest and the dense undergrowth of
ferns and other local plant species. We will then visit the “Oro
Verde Mayor” wood (Green Gold Major) with larches dating
back 1500 to to 3000 years. After a short rest we will go in search
of the pure and crystalline waters that flow from El Gran Nevado
forming “Fuente de la Esperanza” (The fountain of
hope). Our return will be along the “Igor” trail,
a narrow, woody track. Lunch at the lodge. in the afternoon, after
a rest, we will leave on horse back to an area known as El Rodado.
During this 3 hour ride we will pass through the evergreen woods,
see how the local wooden tiles are made and also get a spectacular
view of the Reloncaví Sound. Dinner and overnight at the
lodge in the park.
DAY 03 LOS ALERCES DE LENCA PARK
Breakfast in the lodge. This morning we will leave on a 5 hour
excursion to “Las Pampichuelas”. These are ancient
ponds which have a moss like covering due to hundreds of years
of accumulated sediment off the mountains. After a brief snack,
we will continue walking towards “El Rodado” set in
the midst of a lush flora, typical of an evergreen wood. This
is where they work the traditional wooden tiles. Here we will
begin a horse ride back to the Lodge. Lunch in the lodge. Afternoon
at leisure to enjoy the lodge’s facilities. Dinner and overnight
at the lodge in the park.
DAY 04 LOS ALERCES DE LENCA PARK
/ PUERTO MONTT
Breakfast in the lodge. At the agreed time transfer to Puerto
Montt Airport.
• Operates all year round Horseback riding is only available
from 01 October to 30 March.
• Excursions will depend on the weather conditions
• The excursions in the itinerary are suggestions as passengers
may opt for others on offer for the same day
• Full American Plan (Full Board) included. Wines, licor
(spirits), and extras not included.
• The Alerce Mountain Lodge currently offers the following
services and accommodation: 3 cabins that can house up to 7 people.
6 rooms in the main building which also houses a bar, kitchen, games
room, dinning room, grill and rest area.

DAY 01 SANTIAGO
Reception at the airport and transfer to the Hotel. In the afternoon
departure for a comprehensive city tour of Santiago. We will start
the tour at the San Francisco Church, which was built between 1572
and 1618. Then we will continue West visiting the “Club Hípico”
horse-racing course, which is considered one of the most beautiful
courses in South America. We will then pass the Palacio de la Moneda,
current seat of government, the Plaza de Armas, where we will see
important National Monuments, such as the Iglesia Catedral (The
Cathedral Church), Correo Central (The Main Post Office) and the
Municipalidad de Santiago (The City Hall). We will continue our
trip going to the Cerro Santa Lucía , where the city was
founded in 1541. We will then cross the Mapocho river and then pass
through different residential districts giving us an overview of
the city. Return to the hotel. Overnight.
DAY 02 SANTIAGO / VALPARAISO / VIÑA DEL MAR / SANTIAGO
Breakfast at the hotel. This full day tour starts from the hotel.
On the 1 ½ trip to Valparaíso, we can observe the
variety of scenery and vegetation in the Curacaví and Casablanca
valleys, as well as the Coastal Mountains. Arriving to Valparaíso,
the main commercial port of Chile, we will see clusters of houses
built along the hills. On one of the hills is La Sebastiana, the
former home of the Nobel Prize winning poet , Pablo Neruda, and
which houses a wide collection of his bric a brac. We will pass
the National Congress building and then drive along Pedro Montt
Avenue, from where we can see the Italian Park, Victoria Square
and the Cathedral. On the Avenida Brasil we will see the British
Arch, the Regional Government Building and the statue to Lord
Cochrane. After this, we will pass through the Chinese Quarter,
the monument to the heroes of Iquique, Prat Quay, the historic
elevators of the Port of Valparaíso, the former Customs
House and the El Membrillo cove. We will visit the Playa Ancha
Hill, the Municipal Stadium and the Navy School. We will then
take the coastal road to Viña del Mar, also known as “The
Garden City”. Places of interest are the Floral Clock, the
Abarca Cove, the Arab Union Club, Wulff Castle, the Marga-Marga
estuary, the Municipal Casino, Peru Avenue, Acapulco beach and
Vergara Quay. Our trip continues along the coast passing the beaches
of The Marines, as well as Las Salinas, Reñaca and Cochoa
beaches and up to the sea-wolf viewing point. We will then stop
for lunch (not included). We will then return to the center of
Viña del Mar ue, from where we get right into downtown
Viña del Mar, where we will find the Francisco Vergara
Square, the Municipal Theatre and Sucre Square. Return to the
hotel in Santiago. Overnight.
DAY 03 SANTIAGO / PUERTO MONTT or PUERTO VARAS
Reception at Puerto Montt Airport and transfer to the hotel in
Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas. In the afternoon we will take a
city tour of Puerto Montt, starting with a visit to the Plaza
de Armas and the Cathedral. Then we will go to the top of one
of the citiy’s 4 hills (Melipulli), for a panoramic view
of Puerto Montt. Then we will visit the beach-resorts of Pelluco
and Chinquihue, and on the way we will see the fish factories,
Naval and Marine shipyards, and at the end of our trip to this
district, we will see the handicraft market of Angelmó.
Later, we will continue our journey to Puerto Varas also known
as the “City of Roses” We will drive along Costanera
Ave. Until we get to Puerto Chico, where we will see the houses
of the first German pioneers. We will then return to the hotel.
Overnight.
DAY 04 PUERTO MONTT or PUERTO VARAS
Breakfast at the Hotel. Day at leisure. We suggest to take an
optional excursion to the city of Frutillar, well known for its
German influence or to Chiloe Island a mystical archipelago and
one of the most fascinating places in Chile.Overnight at the hotel
in Puerto Varas.
DAY 05 PUERTO MONTT or PUERTO VARAS / LAKE
TODOS LOS SANTOS / PEULLA
Breakfast at the hotel. At the specified time we will take the
S.I.B. Lakes Crossing service to Peulla. We will drive along the
edge of Lake Llanquihue, near the Calbuco volcano, and then enter
the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, from where we
will be able to see the majesty of the Osorno volcano, the waterfalls
of Petrohué river and Lake Todos los Santos. We will sail
the beautiful emerald-coloured waters of this lake where you will
be able to appreciate the shore bordered by native forests, mountains,
volcanoes, hills and waterfalls. Arrival to Peulla, a little mountain
village situated on the eastern shore of Lake Todos los Santos.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Peulla.
DAY 06 PEULLA / LAKE NAHUEL HUAPI / SAN
CARLOS DE BARILOCHE
Breakfast at the hotel. We continue our journey to San Carlos
de Bariloche. We will cross the Vicente Pérez Rosales border
point, up to Lake Frías from where we will sail to Puerto
Blest. After a short bus ride, we will continue sailing for the
last part of our trip, crossing Lake Nahuel Huapi until we reach
Puerto Pañuelo. We will then continue on to Bariloche by
bus, leaving the passengers at the hotel in Bariloche. Overnight.
DAY 07 SAN CARLOS DE BARILOCHE / BUENOS AIRES
Breakfast at the Hotel. We will take a half day tour visiting
the city, including Playa Bonita, from where we can see Huemul
Island. Later on we will get to the foot of Campanario Hill where
an option is to take the chair lift to the top the hill, We will
cross the bridge to La Angostura which links Lakes Moreno, Nahuel
and López Bay and arrive to Punto Panorámico, a
natural balcony with views over Lake Moreno and the Llao-Llao
peninsula. On the return trip we will go along the edge of the
El Trébol Lagoon. Arrival to the Hotel in Bariloche. In
the afternoon, transfer to the airport. Reception at Buenos Aires
airport. Transfer to the hotel in Buenos Aires. Overnight.
DAY 08 BUENOS AIRES
Breakfast at the hotel. Our ½ day morning tour will begin
with the Civic Centre, visiting the National Congress and May
Square surrounded by Government House, the Cathedral and City
Hall, and the Colon Theatre. We will then visit the barrio of
San Telmo, (Sundays include the Flea Market), and La Boca, with
its colourful architecture. We will then go to the residential
area of Palermo. Finally, we will go to Recoleta, the city’s
most exclusive district, with its famous cemetery, boutiques,
restaurants and side walk cafés. In the evening you will
be taken to a restaurtant for dinner with Tango Folk show. Overnight.
DAY 09 BUENOS AIRES
Breakfast at the hotel. At an agreed time, transfer to the airport
to board your departure flight
