General Information on Bariloche
Mount Catedral (cathedral), located 19 kilometers from the City of San Carlos de Bariloche, around 25 minutes, has 5,000 acres of ski slopes with over 40 miles of skills trails. Mount Catedral is one of the most popular and complete winter ski resorts in South America, internationally recognized for its quality establishments and services.
The center is located on the west side of Cathedral Hill. This mountain gets its name from its peaks that seem to take the shape of a gothic cathedral. Its maximum altitude reaches 2,388 am (7,832 ft) above sea level and since it is situated in an open area, one has an extraordinary view of the surrounding mountains and peaks.
Bariloche offers a number of lodging options to the skiers that visit every year. You can choose to stay at the few select hotels right on the slopes of Mount Catedral like Club Hotel Catedral and Village Catedral or to lodge in and around the city of Bariloche, like the LLao-LLao Hotel, Design Suites, La Cascada, Dazzler, Kenton, Nevada, Nahuel Huapi, Nido del Condor, Piri Hue, Punta Condor and Arelauqen Lodge.
Most hotels offer three, four, and seven days skiing packages to their guests. Lift tickets and transportation from town to the slopes in the morning and returning in the afternoon, giving you the opportunity to ski even the last day before your flight to your next destination. Also we offer and special airfare from Buenos Aires to Bariloche.
