LONELY BARRELS (15 Days / 14 Nights)

If clients enjoy surfing good waves at lonely beaches it is the perfect trip for them. This trip brings the best surf spots at the very consistent Peruvian coast.


DAY 01       ARRIVAL IN LIMA

Transfer airport/hotel. Overnight.

DAY 02       LIMA / CENTINELA

Morning departure to Centinela, this fun left is 4 hours north from Lima and can be surfed with any swell, is very consistent. After getting settled in our Surf Camp, which is located just in front of the point and nearby huge crop plantations, we can enjoy our first session in this lonely and perfect surf point. Overnight.

DAY 03       CENTINELA / HUANCHACO

After an early glassy session, we continue our trip north for 2 hours and make a stop in Bermejos Beach to have another lonely surfing session at this long and perfect left. Afterwards we continue driving north to arrive by night to Huanchaco. We will stay at a hostel by the beach.

DAY 04       HUANCHACO

All day surfing at this point-break, which is known by history, as the first place where humans used to surf waves in their ancestral Caballitos de Totora (boats similar in shape to surfboards but made from Totora cane). This traditional way of fishing is still conserved by locals that astonish tourists from all parts of the world. Overnight.

DAY 05       HUANCHACO / CHICAMA

Early departure to the famous Chicama Point, world’s longest left for far! Rest of the day for surfing this outrage perfect left to proof your power in this 2 km long point. Overnight.

DAY 06       CHICAMA

Full day of surfing.

DAY 07       CHICAMA / PACASMAYO

In the morning we continue our trip north to our next stop, Pacasmayo, classical and very long wave, in good days more than 1 Km! This left wave is similar to Chicama in shape but always bigger. Overnight.

DAY 08       PACASMAYO

Full day surfing.

DAY 09       PACASMAYO / TALARA

Early session and departure to the north shore of Peru. Talara is one of the most consistent surf areas in Peru, and hosts many world class waves, like el Golf, el Hueco, Lobitos, Baterias and Piscina. Overnight.

DAY 10       TALARA

Full day surfing. The spot is chosen depending upon surfing conditions. Overnight.

DAY 11       TALARA / MÁNCORA

After surfing all the morning in Talara area, we will go to Máncora, this area is sunny year round with warm water, there’s tourists here from all around the globe and the place will keep you busy in and out of the water! Overnight.

DAY 12       MÁNCORA

At dawn we must check the waves to decide where to go surfing, we have several options detailed in the trip dossier. Full day of surfing. Overnight.

DAY 13      MÁNCORA / PACASMAYO

Last day of surfing in this hot and dream land! Afternoon departure to Pacasmayo, on our way back to Lima. Overnight.

DAY 14       PACASMAYO / LIMA

Afternoon arrival to Lima. Free afternoon to explore this fascinating City of Kings. Overnight.

Our guides have been surfing for many years most of the Pacific Coast and many spots around the world. They have the experience and knowledge necessary to decide what to surf for determinate swell, tide and weather conditions.

WHAT TO TAKE
You will be on the move a great deal, so our advice is to pack as lightly as possible. Hot temperatures in the North of Peru vary between 22º C (72º F) to 32º C (88º F). We recommend using a duffel bag or backpack, whichever is easier for you to carry. A good-sized daypack is also essential.

**First aid kit should contain lip salve, Aspirin, Band Aids, anti-histamine, Imodium or similar tablets for mild cases of diarrhea, re-hydration powder, and any extra prescription drugs you may be taking.
